On Sunday, February 1st from 2-4:30 pm at Congregation Nevei Kodesh we will be packaging meals for food insecure children and families in Colorado. Adults and children age 8 and above who are accompanied by an adult are invited to join us!
Did you know that 1 in 7 children in Colorado is food insecure? These are our neighbors. Many children get free breakfast and lunch at school on weekdays but may have limited food on the weekends. We are working with Colorado Feeding Kids to package food so that these kids can take it home on weekends to help feed them and their families.
We are commanded to love our neighbors as ourselves. Beyond being commanded, we WANT to help our neighbors because we DO love them and we want them to thrive.
This is a concrete opportunity to join in doing that. We will be forming 6 or 7 assembly lines in our sanctuary to package several thousand meal packages. Please sign up to help us!
