Celebrate Your Jewish Pride and Lag B’Omer During Coronavirus

Wow, how times have changed. The world is in a state of uncertainty and chaos.
On one hand, time has slowed yet paradoxically has been flying by. Lag B’Omer is right around the corner on this Tuesday, May 12.  For the past 28 years, we have celebrated LagB’Omer by hosting a BBQ or Hike and Celebrating with Jewish Pride. As to adjust to the current times, this year we are hosting a car parade (via socially distancing) with a few cars decorated with Jewish themes.  The plan is to travel around town and display our Jewish festivity.  Please let us know if you would like to have us pass by your home. We will tell you in advance if we are able to put you on our route.
Traditionally, the Lubavitcher Rebbe instituted Lag B’Omer as a day when we make Jewish gatherings specifically, a parade in which we display our Jewish Pride.
On Lag B’Omer communities across the world, gather to celebrate the life of Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai, the father of KABBALAH.  Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai was a famous first-century Tannaic sage, and the author of the famed Zohar, the chief work of the Kabbalah.  Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai requested that all people come together in unity and celebration on his day of passing.
