Refuat HaNefesh Adds a New Session

Refuat Hanefesh: A Healing of the Spirit is a safe and loving gathering where people struggling with mental illness and brain disorders, their family, and friends can meet confidentially and openly name how their spiritual life/faith can help with mental health challenges.

The original group currently meets on the first and third Tuesdays of the month. We are beginning a second monthly meeting group on the second Wednesday of the month. There will be no meeting if the day falls on a Jewish or national holiday.

Facilitated by Rabbi Deborah Bronstein and Reggie Gray, LCSW, an experienced therapist who attends Nevei Kodesh, this group is open to all members of the Jewish community.

This is a drop-in group, though we’ve seen that people who make the effort to attend regularly tend to get more out of the experience. There is no need to register. There is no cost to participate.

Together we will share and hear how faith and a reliance on a Higher Power can be helpful when coping with this illness. We also share methods that help us move through times of difficulty and articulate our sources of hope and strength.

Our Schedule For September

Tuesday, September 3rd, 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm
Wednesday, September 11th, 10:30 am to noon
Tuesday, September 17th, 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm

All meetings are held at Congregation Har HaShem, 3950 Baseline Road

For more information about the group, feel free to email Rabbi Bronstein at drb@harhashem.org.
