Week in Review: July 17th, 2015

Shabbat shalom!  Congratulations to Bonai Shalom’s Rabbi Marc Soloway for being one of twelve faith leaders honored by the White House on Monday for their Climate Change leadership.  The community is proud of you, Rabbi!  Bonai Shalom will host a community viewing of the live stream from the White House on Monday at noon in its social hall.  Remember, Cherryvale is closed from Arapahoe; you must come to Bonai Shalom from the south end of Cherryvale.

If you are in a hiking mood this weekend, Adventure Rabbi is leading two hikes on Saturday from NCAR and Amy Atkins is leading a hike at the Bobolink Trailhead at 9:00 am for Nevei Kodesh.

Also, be sure to check out Connecting to Jewish Boulder, the BJN’s new business directory.  Find all kinds of businesses and service providers in the Boulder area who are supporters of the Jewish community.  If you have a business or service you’d like to offer to the community, submit your business here, or check to see if it’s already listed — and then claim your listing by clicking the “Claim This Listing” link.

Have a great weekend, and enjoy this week’s stories in the BJN.

About Editor

I'm David Fellows, and I've served as a writer, photographer and/or an editor on my junior high and high school newspapers; the Daily Trojan at USC (where I earned my journalism degree); the student newspaper at the Anderson School at UCLA (where I earned my MBA); and I've written and edited countless business documents and presentations in the ensuing twenty years. I was also a professional photographer from 1978 to 1988 (although you never really stop...). I've been involved Jewishly since my bris and in Boulder since 1995. I'm married to my Executive Director Cheryl, and we have two children, Lauren and Ethan.
