Emy Lee Wong, mother of Mark Wong, died peacefully early on Saturday September 3rd at the great age of 87 years old. Her family will celebrate her life in Durham, North Carolina the weekend of September 23rd. Emy was an optimist, except for politics and religion. She had all her faculties and was a great source of wisdom on marriage and raising strong children. Emy was an advocate for pro abortion rights, stemming from experiences witnessed as a very young girl in San Francisco’s Chinatown. She was a great influence on Mark’s and Jackie’s lives.
We wish Mark, Jackie and the whole Wong family blessings of strength and comfort. May Emy Lee Wong’s memory be a source of blessing and inspiration for all who knew her.
Blessings,
Rabbi Marc
