Week in Review: July 30th, 2010

Shabbat Shalom!  Mid-Summer turns out to be a busy time for Jewish Boulder.  This week saw the appointment of an interim executive director at the Boulder JCC, and Rabbi Tirzah Firestone making The Foward’s list of the top 50 influential women rabbis, among other stories.

Next week, Denver will be buzzing with the sounds of 1,500 Jewish teen athletes at the 2010 JCC Maccabi Games — and a bunch of them will be staying in homes in the Boulder area (not to mention the 29 Boulder-area kids making up the Boulder end of Team Denver/Boulder).  Check out the Boulder Jewish News’ special Maccabi Games page, with stories and the latest scores all week.

About Editor

I'm David Fellows, and I've served as a writer, photographer and/or an editor on my junior high and high school newspapers; the Daily Trojan at USC (where I earned my journalism degree); the student newspaper at the Anderson School at UCLA (where I earned my MBA); and I've written and edited countless business documents and presentations in the ensuing twenty years. I was also a professional photographer from 1978 to 1988 (although you never really stop...). I've been involved Jewishly since my bris and in Boulder since 1995. I'm married to my Executive Director Cheryl, and we have two children, Lauren and Ethan.
