Boulder’s Run4TheirLives chapter completed their fifth weekly walk on Sunday, December 24, and invites the community to join them this Sunday, December 31 and every Sunday until the rest of the hostages held by Hamas are released.

The primary goal of this project is to help create media coverage for the release of the people kidnapped and taken hostage by Hamas on October 7 in southern Israel. The project is within the framework of the Hostages and Missing Families Forum, #BringThemHomeNow.
A secondary goal is to strengthen our community, increase endorphins, foster togetherness, hug, support, and get a sense of belonging.
Principles
- This is an inclusive project. It is not just about Israel, but about all human beings calling for the release of the hostages.
- This is a safe group.
- This is a peaceful group.
- This is ongoing. We will keep going until all hostages are released.
- Our power lies in documenting what we do, and sharing videos and photos on social media.
- We are unified.
If you’re interested in joining…
1. Please text organizer Rachel Amaru on WhatsApp – +1(720) 352-5552, or email her at rachelamaru@gmail.com and she will add you to the group.
2. Once you’re added to the group, you’ll receive the location of where we’ll be meeting every week. Please only share this with people you speak to in person. We will be meeting for our walks on Sundays at 1 pm.
3. The What’sApp group is “silent” — you’ll just receive information there. If you have additional questions, please reach out to Rachel via WhatsApp, +1 (720) 352-5552 or email.
4. T-shirts can be purchased on Amazon via Run for Their Lives or you can just wear a red t-shirt.
5. If you have pictures of the hostages, you can bring those with you. You can also bring Israeli flags, or flags from any of the other countries representing the individuals kidnapped.
6. A Google Drive folder has been set up to store photos from our weekly walks so that people can share them on social media. This info will also be shared in the WhatsApp group.
The group hopes many of you will join them in this project. 18 minutes per week, 1 kilometer, and the Boulder community coming together to show it cares.
