Summer Teen Leadership Program Offered at the Boulder JCC

Cherryvale Day Camp at the Boulder JCC has long offered a wonderful opportunity for younger campers to to develop and grow outside of the classroom while building their confidence. American Camping Association studies show that day camp campers display an improved ability to make and maintain friendships, increased confidence to try new activities, and greater skill development.  This summer, the program is expanding to offer a Leadership In Training (LIT) program for campers Campers Entering Grades 6th, 7th and 8th grade!  The program will be offered in two sessions:  June 5-16 and June 19-30.  

A Leadership in Training (LIT) program can offer numerous benefits for middle school students. By participating in this program, students can develop important leadership skills including communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution. Additionally, LIT programs often include outdoor activities, team-building exercises, and other opportunities for students to practice working together and developing their interpersonal skills. By participating in a LIT program, middle school students can also gain confidence, build self-esteem, and learn how to take initiative and be proactive. LIT programs can provide students with the opportunity to make new friends, learn from adult mentors, and have fun in a supportive and engaging environment. Overall, a Leadership in Training program can provide a valuable and enriching experience for middle school students, helping them to grow as individuals and as leaders.
