Colorado Hebrew Chorale and Kol Nashim Resume In-Person Rehearsals

The Colorado Hebrew Chorale and Kol Nashim joyfully announce the resumption of in-person rehearsals at the Hebrew Educational Alliance, 3600 S. Ivanhoe St. Denver. PARTICIPANTS MUST BE VACCINATED and provide a copy of their vaccination card to jancolorado@comcast.net. According to current COVID-19 guidelines, masks must be worn by all participants, and rehearsal schedules may be subject to change.

The Colorado Hebrew Chorale, under the direction of founder Carol Kozak Ward is a non-auditioned community choir of mixed voices, Members come from all over the metro area and and share a love of singing Jewish music in many forms. The choir rehearses on Monday evenings 7:30-9:30 pm, No knowledge of Hebrew is necessary to participate. Open rehearsals begin Monday August 23, 7:30-9:30 pm.  Qualified singers ages 13+ are invited in all voice parts (Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass). Female participants may also join Kol Nashim.

Kol Nashim, the women’s choir of Colorado Hebrew Chorale is a non-auditioned choir under the direction of founder Leah Peer. Open rehearsals begin Thursday September 2, 6-8 pm. Qualified female singers age 13+ are invited (Soprano and Alto). No knowledge of Hebrew is necessary to participate. Participants may also sing with the Colorado Hebrew Chorale.

Leah will also be offering a new monthly educational series, “Text and Context” on Zoom beginning Sunday, September 19 at 7-7:45 pm. focusing on the poetry and other writings related to the KN repertoire. Choir members will discuss the texts of the songs we will be singing.
