We hope you are all enjoying Passover. As the holiday continues, our choirs are busy preparing for a number of events in coming weeks. We hope you will join us for these exciting programs:
Tuesday, April 14, 6:30 pm: The Hebrew Educational Alliance (HEA) will hold its annual Yom HaShoah observance at HEA, 3600 South Ivanhoe Street in Denver. This year’s theme, “The Future of Holocaust Education”, will be highlighted with candle-lighting in memory of the Six Million, music, readings, and a presentation by the Illinois Holocaust Museum and Education Center. The Colorado Hebrew Chorale (CHC) is honored to premiere Zeh HaYom (“This is the day”), composed by local survivor Oscar “Osi” Sladek and arranged for chorus and piano by CHC pianist Travis Yamamoto. The event is free and open to the public.
Monday, April 20, 7:00 pm. JEWISHcolorado is sponsoring the Denver community’s annual Yom HaZikaron tribute commemorating Israel’s official Memorial Day for fallen soldiers and victims of terror. This year’s observance is most timely given the war with Iran. The Colorado Hebrew Chorale will be participating in the program. The event is free and open to the public.
