New Crew Delivers Fab Festival

The 22nd annual Boulder Jewish Festival came off with nary a hitch on a hot Sunday that the BJF shared with Father’s Day.  The later date came about as a result of the holiday of Shavous falling on BJF’s regular second Sunday in June date for 2016.

A new committee, led by Elizabeth Barrekette and Amy Atkins, did a fabulous job stepping in and stepping up after the previous committee, led by Cheryl Fellows, retired after last year’s festival — and 20 years’ service for most of them.  The new committee kept a successful formula while trying a few new things — an all-Colorado music line up, Israeli dancing, a flash mob and a scavenger hunt to point out a few. And despite temperatures that stayed in the high 90’s for most of the day, the Festival saw a steady stream of visitors throughout the day.
