JCRC Announces 2016 “Date with the State”

DENVER, Colo.— The Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC), a program of JEWISHcolorado, is pleased to announce the 2016 “Date with the State” Thursday, January 21 at the Old Supreme Court Chambers at the State Capitol in Denver. The event seeks to better inform the Jewish community about the State Legislature’s agenda in 2016.

JCRCThe program will include a briefing on the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement by Noam Gilboord, formerly of the Israel Action Network; a Behind the Scenes Legislative Briefing; observation on the Senate and House floors; and remarks from a number of legislators, including some of the 2015 Public Officials Mission to Israel participants.

The event will also feature keynote speaker Ambassador Dennis Ross. For more than twelve years, Ambassador Ross played a leading role in shaping U.S. involvement in the Middle East peace process. A highly skilled diplomat, Ambassador Ross was U.S. point man on the peace process in both the George H. W. Bush and Bill Clinton administrations.

Tickets are available for $36 including lunch (dietary laws will be observed) or $18 without lunch.
