A couple of hundred adults and children turned out in the bitter cold Tuesday night on Pearl Street for the Boulder Menorah Lighting, hosted by Chabad Lubavitch of Boulder. Jonathan Lev, Executive Director of the Boulder Jewish Community Center welcomed the crowd, Rabbi Pesach Scheiner told a Chanukah story, and then this year’s Lamplighter, Allen Hittelman, lit the eight-foot menorah with the help of various grandchildren.
Chabad served Sufganyot, hot chocolate and Starbucks coffee to keep the crowd warm and fed during the ceremonies, and Steve Brodsky serenaded the crowd with favorite Chanukah songs.
