Miriam’s Well of Wisdom

Miriam’s Well of Wisdom

Miriam’s fortitude offered
us songs to the sea,
rising up through despair
into the majesty
of the human spirit

Miriam took us into the unknown,
as her faith and wisdom carried
us deep into her well

Shekinah’s welcoming heart
guiding us through bitter waters,
quenching our parched hearts
bestowing faith and fortitude
in us

Her Divine wisdom rising
from the depths —
so we may walk together
with Miriam, timbrels in hand
singing our shared
songs to the sea
leading us onto
fertile soil

Miriam’s well of wisdom
in these darkest of times
move us forward to heal —

The Divine Feminine —
the Shekinah —
dwelling within us,
calls us forward
to find our way back
to love
for one another —
again

About Todd Greenberg

Through prayer, worship, Torah Study, and Kabbalah I have been inspired to write poetry that tends more to the spiritual and mystical aspects found in Judaism. What comes "through" me I try to put into words. I hope that at least some of what I post to BJN will resonate with you and that you find inspiration from it for your own journey. Thank you for allowing to share my writings. Blessings, Todd
