What Is the Upside of Upside Down?

I’m waiting, waiting, waiting

For the test results to come.

Looking out the window at huge raindrops dripping, wondering

How many times have I studied a rainfalls rainbow?

Appreciating life, with a wonderment that has been too long shelved

When I watch the midnight news,

I try to make sense of nonsense, but still hope

A true hope that will mend this nation’s soul.

Might chaos birth

A positive change to come?

I have not been able to pray.

Even though I don’t know my fate,

I have not been able to pray most days,

Since I’m joined at the hip with God,

I can hear Her thoughts and She hears mine, a whole lot of sadness is

Between us, a whole lot of love underneath, that binds us,

And I feel love like never before.
