Exchange Lifelong Learning Mini Term Begins April 1st Diverse Morning Class Options

Exchange: A Hub for Learning at the Boulder JCC opened for Spring registration on March 4 for the mini-session starting April 1.  All classes will be held at the Boulder JCC.

Exciting Monday opportunities for lifelong learning this spring include (April 1, 8 and 15):

  • Cara Bradley, a Master Emotional and Social Skills Coach, will lead Are We Willing to Change Our Minds? about the difficult challenges of ego, arrogance, and bias that sometimes get in the way of changing our minds. With the state of today’s world being filled with misinformation, fake news, and extreme perspectives, cultivating intellectual humility is not just a virtue but a necessity.
  • Steve Swenerton has a BA in Political Science and an MBA in International Business. His class Greece – Still Amazing, Still Important will take us to the birthplace of democracy, the first Olympic games, and the many other amazing achievements that continue to influence our modern society. Whether you’ve been to Greece or have it on your bucket list, you’ll see why The Economist magazine named Greece the 2023 Country of the Year.

On Wednesday mornings Dave Fulker, (Principal Trumpet for the Boulder Philharmonic Orchestra) and Keith Waters, (Professor of Music Theory at CU Boulder),  will combine videos, lectures, discussions, and live performances to explore how American music, across many decades and multiple genres, has both shaped and reflected American culture. Music and Mood from Irving Berlin to Lin-Manuel Miranda will be offered April 3, 10 and 17.

Class registration for the spring term is now open.  Each class is $35 and financial support is available. All Boulder JCC programs are open to everyone of all or no religious affiliation. You do not need to be Jewish to participate. There is no membership requirement to participate in Boulder JCC programs. For registration support call 303-998-1900 or contact Acy Jackson acy.jackson@boulderjcc.org
