Spaces Still Available for Wednesday’s Rosh Hashanah Retreat

Longing for an immersive, soul-centered way to celebrate Rosh Hashanah? You might be in luck!

Rabbi Sarah Bracha Gershuny is partnering with Yoel Sykes, an extraordinary leader of musical prayer, to facilitate a very special second day Rosh Hashanah retreat, Wednesday September 8 in Boulder, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. 

This full-day retreat will allow space for connection with community, personal intention-setting, and time in nature, as well as deep musical prayer, some gentle movement practice, and a shofar service. The event will take place entirely out of doors, and participants are welcome to mask or not, as they choose.

Through musical prayer, movement exploration, spiritual reflection, heart sharing, shofar, meditation and time in nature, this Rosh HaShanah our sacred container will allow us to dive deep.

As we tune into our authentic selves, the next steps often begin to appear. What are we being called to now, in service to our communities and the unfolding of our own sacred paths?

About the facilitators:
Rabbi SB Gershuny is twice-ordained – as a rabbi and as a kohenet, a Hebrew priestess. From 2014-2020 she served as the spiritual leader of Congregation Nevei Kodesh, a Jewish Renewal community in Boulder. Rabbi Gershuny is a gifted teacher, writer, healer, musician and facilitator. This Rosh Hashana she will be co-facilitating with Yoel Sykes, one of the foremost leaders of musical prayer in the Jewish world. Yoel is best known as part of Nava Tehila, the Jewish Renewal congregation of Jerusalem, with whom he wrote and recorded four albums of original music. Yoel is currently enrolled in the Aleph Ordination Program, where he is studying to become a spiritual director and a rabbi. Rabbi Gershuny and Yoel will be joined by community musicians and friends.
