Check Out January and February Activities of Colorado Hebrew Chorale and Kol Nashim

Yehoram Gaon

Yehoram Gaon is widely considered to be one of the seminal male singers of Israel. During January and February 2021 the Colorado Hebrew Chorale and Kol Nashim offer two opportunities to explore his music through different lenses. 

Thursday, Jan. 21, 7:00 pm MST – Kol Nashim presents “Marvelous Musical Men – Yehoram Gaon.”

 

Dr. Seth Ward

Monday, Feb. 22, 7:30 pm MST – Colorado Hebrew Chorale presents “L’Chaim! A Taste of Jewish Music from – Kazablan.“  Dr. Seth Ward will present an in-depth examination of the music of Kazablan, the musical that made Gaon an international star. This session will include music by Kazablan composer Dov Seltzer, and accompanied by Kazablan-inspired food and drink..

Cantor Deborah Katchko-Gray

Monday, Jan. 25, 7:30 pm MST – Colorado Hebrew chorale presents “L’Chaim! A Taste of Jewish Music from – Sighet” (birthplace of Elie Wiesel). Cantor Deborah Katchko-Gray will present “Elie Wiesel, Songs and Stories” in recognition of Holocaust Memorial Day.

Sunday, Feb.7, 7:30 pm MST – Miryam Raizen continues her series, “From Tin Pan Alley Cats to the Great White Way – Jewish Composers of the American Musical.”

All programs are free and will be held on Zoom. Separate registration for each series is required and is good for the entire series.
