After long deliberation, we at B’nai Brith Colorado are disappointed to report that we our cancelling our 2020 Leadville Cemetery Clean Up Project which has been held each summer for twenty-three years. We made this difficult decision due to the uncertainties surrounding COVID-19. We plan to reassemble in 2021, better than ever!
Instead, B’nai B’rith Colorado is spearheading a vital COVID-19 relief initiative, and we are asking for your generous support. Our goal is to provide essential supplies to those who have been adversely effected by the global health crisis and recent economic downturn. This humanitarian aid project will deliver swift, direct assistance to affected individuals in two meaningful ways.
FOOD DRIVE
First, we are raising funds for the Food Bank of the Rockies, which will distribute food to children, seniors, and families who lack the necessary resources to sustain themselves during the crisis. Every $1 dollar donated to the Food Drive provides four meals to those who are hungry. B’nai B’rith Colorado is matching dollar for dollar all Food Drive donations up to $5,000 and is also donating $5,000 directly to the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Food Pantry.
PPE DRIVE
Second, we are collecting money to procure and donate personal protective equipment (“PPE”) to at-risk facilities and vulnerable communities. B’nai B’rith Colorado is matching dollar for dollar all PPE Drive donations up to $10,000. B’nai B’rith Colorado has already donated hundreds of reusable face shields to local Jewish senior facilities and nursing homes in an effort to combat the spread of COVID-19. Our primary goal is to significantly increase the scope and size of our community outreach in order to provide critical supplies and indispensable humanitarian aid.
B’nai B’rith Colorado is requesting Food Drive and PPE Drive donations through its website, https://bnaibrithcolorado.org, where you will be given the option to donate to the Food Drive, the PPE drive, or both. B’nai B’rith Colorado is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization, EIN 84-0151225, and your donation is tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. No goods or services will be provided in exchange for your contribution.
B’nai B’rith Colorado has faithfully served Colorado, the greater Rocky Mountain region and beyond since 1872, continuously providing emergency relief, helping the less fortunate, and being a driving force for good. Now, more than ever, we call upon you to provide meaningful and life-saving supplies to those in need during the COVID-19 pandemic.
On behalf of our Board of Directors, our membership, and the people we serve, we appreciate your thoughtful and generous support.
Sincerely,

Frank Goldman
