‘Day of Service’ at Congregation Bonai Shalom

‘Day of Service’ at Congregation Bonai Shalom

‘Day of Service’ at Congregation Bonai ShalomThe Boulder community has faced loss, inevitable change, and have overcome challenges resulting from devastating floods of historic proportions which damaged many of our homes, belongings, and beloved synagogues. We will continue to be inspired by the communities genuine care for one another and the drive to rebuild. Bonai Shlaom is grateful to be blessed with so much help in the rebuilding of our synagogue which was completely flooded.  We are excited to announce our first ‘Day of Service’ with Temple Emmanuel and we wish to invite the community to join us in a fun, active day of service on Monday, January 20th, 10:00 am – 3:00 pm.

There’s lots to do and the more hands, the better! The day will be complete with digging, hauling, rebuilding, removing chain link fence posts, general garbage cleanup, breaking down of the Sukkah, and clearing out the storage house. For those interested in more heavy duty work…we have some chainsawing to be done and sledge hammering for only those with experience.

Bonai Shalom will provide face masks. We ask that if you have shovels, rakes, work gloves, clippers, and sledgehammers to please bring them with you. This will be an enjoyable community bonding experience and we look forward to spending a day with you in service to Bonai Shalom and a great way to celebrate MLK Day! Meet us at 1527 Cherryvale Road, Boulder, CO 80303. If you have any questions please contact the office at 303-442-6605. See you there!
