The 1100-year-old Codex Sassoon, the oldest and most complete Hebrew Bible, was sold on May 17th at Sotheby’s for $38.1 million. The sacred text, considered the foundation of Jewish ethics and beliefs, will become part of the core exhibition and permanent collection of ANU - Museum of the Jewish People in Tel Aviv, Israel.
