EVERGREEN, Colo. (May 11, 2026) — Congregation Beth Evergreen (CBE) welcomed Anna Szentiványi as its new executive director on April 27, marking an important step forward for one of Colorado’s most vibrant and growing Jewish Mountain communities. Szentiványi’s leadership continues to build connection, expand the synagogue’s reach, and deepen engagement among its members and the broader Front Range community.

Szentiványi brings more than 14 years of experience in education, training, and organizational leadership. Previously, she served as Manager of Learning & Education at Togetherwork in Austin, Texas. She has also been deeply involved in Jewish communal life in Denver, including at Hebrew Educational Alliance in Denver, where she served as Assistant Director of Education and later worked closely with the Executive Director.
Born in Hungary, Szentiványi’s international background includes living and studying in Israel and Bulgaria before making the United States her home. Her lifelong connection to Jewish communal life began in her early teens, organizing youth groups through the Jewish Agency for Israel, and continues today through her professional and volunteer leadership.
Now a Colorado resident, Szentiványi and her family are active outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy skiing, hiking, kayaking, and camping — activities and values that align closely with the lifestyle and spirit of the mountain community Beth Evergreen serves.
“Anna joins our leadership team at a pivotal time for our mountain community, for civic life in America generally, and for Jewish communal life here at Beth Evergreen specifically. Her partnership presents us with a precious opportunity. Given her personal and professional experiences bridging cultural differences and using organizational tools to foster inclusion and belonging, Anna will surely be an asset in our effort to refine and realize a bold vision for what the combination of Jewish communal life and Colorado mountain life have to offer the entire community,” said Rabbi Jamie Arnold.
Beth Evergreen is known for its welcoming, inclusive approach to Jewish life, offering programming and connection for individuals and families of all backgrounds and levels of observance. Szentiványi’s arrival comes at a time of continued growth, as more individuals and families seek meaningful Jewish connection in Colorado’s mountain communities.
“I’m honored to join Beth Evergreen and to partner with the Rabbi Jamie, the CBE staff, and its members to support and strengthen this special community,” said Szentiványi. “I look forward to building on its strong foundation and helping create even more opportunities for connection and engagement.”
“I feel truly grateful to be joining Congregation Beth Evergreen. My journey, from Hungary to Israel to building a career in education and Jewish communal life, has always been about creating connection and belonging, and I felt that here right away. There’s something special about how this community blends Jewish and mountain life so naturally. I’m excited to build relationships and partner with staff, leadership, and members to continue growing this vibrant community together.”
