We Walk for the 53 Hostages Again This Sunday

We Walk for the 53 Hostages Again This Sunday

This Sunday, it would be great to get turnout like we did this past Sunday (~150 walkers). We all felt the support of the community.

And it would be so, so much better if all the hostages were returned, and this was our very last walk.

Thinking of all of you with family in Israel, those still in the very beginning of healing from the June 1st attack, and everyone negotiating such incredibly difficult days in the Jewish community, here and across the world.

Much appreciate you helping us share about our humanitarian walk in solidarity with hostages who will have been held 625 days as of Sunday. Please don’t forget them. Keep saying their names with us.

Please note that we will have armed security on every one of our walks going forward. If people are interested in socializing prior to the walk, please arrive by 10:30 am and gather by the west-facing wall of Lolita’s.

As always, this walk is not a protest; it is a peaceful walk to show solidarity with the hostages and their families, and a plea for their release.

Sunday, June 22nd marks the 625th day since 240 hostages were kidnapped from Israel and taken to Gaza. 53 of them still remain captive there, 20 who should be home with their mothers and families, and 33 who deserve a proper burial. Please – join us this Sunday to walk for all those still held hostage, and to honor those injured on June 1. The world cannot forget. Please bring posters and wear red.

The local Boulder chapter of Run For Their Lives (part of the larger Bring Them Home Now initiative) has been walking in downtown Boulder every week since Thanksgiving, 2023. That’s 83 weeks. There are 231+ groups like ours meeting internationally and across US cities (including a local Denver chapter).

Wherever you are, whether visiting friends or family or vacationing, you can join a group and walk with them, or walk on your own and post a video in the main Run For Their Lives Facebook group, in our local FB group, or on your own feeds. The initiative’s goal is to get as much press coverage as possible for the hostages through publicizing these walks.
