Kol Nashim Presents: Lo Lefached Klal Concert in Denver

Kol Nashim, the women’s choir of the Colorado Hebrew Chorale, in collaboration with Art Against Antisemitism, will be presenting an immersive concert of music and art Sunday, Feb. 23, 4 pm at the Hebrew Educational Alliance, 3600 South Ivanhoe St. in Denver. This candle-lit event, entitled “To Not Be Afraid – Lo Lefached Klal: A Journey Towards Light and Love,” will feature a concert by Kol Nashim under the direction of Artistic Director Dr. Jessie Flasschoen Campbell. A visual presentation of artwork from artists from around the globe, curated by Art Against Antisemitism under the direction of Lisa Link, will enhance the experience. The event will include active audience engagement.

Like a bridge, choral music is a unique art form perfect for moving people from one perspective to a new one. This experience will go beyond the concert hall or gallery by pairing digital art and choral music with audience participation, to move from a place of darkness and fear to a place of love and light. Each song, piece of art and poem is an integral step in this journey. The music of the concert is programmed in a narrative arc: it is itself a bridge in which we look to our past, examine our future and find one another at the end. Works from artists around the world will be projected on screens surrounding the audience, who will have the opportunity to personalize and add their own light to the darkness.

Kol Nashim was founded in 2013 by Leah Peer, who retired from Kol Nashim in June, 2024. The Lo Lefached Klal program will be the choir’s premiere performance under the direction of Dr. Jessie Flasschoen Campbell.

Art Against Antisemitism is a visionary initiative spearheaded by Lisa Link in collaboration with the Combat Antisemitism Movement. They have fostered a vibrant and inclusive community of artists dedicated to combating antisemitism through their profound and thought-provoking creations.
