2025 Denver Jewish Film Festival Debuts Thursday; Features Five Special Nights

The 2025 Denver Jewish Film Festival kicks off with the opening night film “Running on Sand” this Thursday, 1/23. The festival runs through February 2, and you can get the whole rundown in this earlier post.

Five of the films will include fun community events after the films. See below for a list of events that will take place during the festival.

  1. Running on Sand
    1. Opening night reception – Thursday 1.23.25 – 6 PM – $58 includes light appetizers, drinks, and film
  2. I Dance, but My Heart is Crying
    1. Festo! Festo! DJFF Style – Sunday 1.26.25 – 4:30 PM – Free concert following film with two local bands. 
  3. Yaniv
    1. Game night – Thursday 1.30.25 – 10 PM – Join us for a tutorial of playing the game Yaniv as well as other card and board games for an hour with the community!
  4. Torah Tropical
    1. Sunday 2.2.25 – 4:15 PM Talkback with filmmaker Ezra Axelrod and catered Columbian food.
  5. Centered: Joe Lieberman
    1. Sunday 2.2.25 – 7:15 PM Closing night reception with light kosher appetizers and champagne.
