Sunday: Join Us for the New Carol Kane, Jason Schwartzman Film Comedy

Sunday: Join Us for the New Carol Kane, Jason Schwartzman Film Comedy

Join us on Sunday, August 25 at 1:25  pm at he Boulder Cinemark Century Theaters for a screening of “Between the Temples,” which opens Thursday at local theaters. Stick around for an impromptu conversation after the film with Kathryn Bernheimer, founding director of the Boulder Jewish Film Festival, which runs Nov. 10-17 at the Dairy Arts Center.

In this hit from the Sundance Film Festival, a cantor (Jason Schwartzman) in a crisis of faith finds his world turned upside down when his grade school music teacher (Carol Kane) re-enters his life as his new adult Bat Mitzvah student. This warm and anxious comedy from prolific writer/director Nathan Silver explores the complexities of belief, connection, and what it means to be a real mensch.

I hope to see you there!
