Welcome to Leith: Acclaimed Documentary on White Supremacists at BIFF

There are pockets of hate all over the internet. Websites filled with racist and anti-semitic diatribes written by Nazi sympathizers and so-called white civil rights advocates are just a click away.

One of those places is Leith, North Dakota, population 24. In 2012 white supremacist Craig Cobb—self-proclaimed “most famous racist in the world”—bought land in that tiny town with the intention of bringing other like-minded fanatics to the area to take political control of the town and develop it as a white paradise.

Welcome to Leith” is a brilliant documentary about the struggle of the townspeople against Cobb and his cronies, a struggle that is ongoing. It comes to Boulder International Film Festival straight from Sundance, where it earned rave reviews.

Don’t miss it. “Welcome to Leith” is showing at BIFF on Saturday, March 7, at 10:00 am, at the First Presbyterian Church, and on the same day at Etown Hall at 7:00 pm. Tickets are $10; $8 for seniors.

Tickets are available here for the 10 am show.

Tickets are available here for the 7 pm show.
