This is the Run for Their Lives community! Groups around the world that never quit, that never stop walking, that never stop saying the names of the hostages and expressing their solidarity.
The amount of support Run For Their Lives – Boulder has received is beyond incredible — from around the world, from hostages’ family members, from returned hostages, from the founder of the global Run For Their Lives organization. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Sunday, June 1st was a devastating day. We continue to send blessings of healing to everyone wounded physically and psychologically, most especially the victims of the horrendous attack. We are immensely grateful for the members of our group who immediately took care of people who were hurt and likely helped save their lives until first responders arrived. They are heroes.
It has rocked all of us immensely, but it has also united us in our mission. We will keep praying with our feet. We will keep saying their names. We will stand up to antisemitism. We are Jews and Jewish allies. We come from different religions and different political affiliations. Some of us have relatives in Israel and in the IDF, some of us have never been to Israel. This is a humanitarian mission, and we will not let a domestic terrorist stop us from doing what we do best.

This Sunday, our Boulder group, plus the Denver R4TL group, will gather on the corner of Pearl Street & Broadway at Noon (special time this week) and will walk two blocks of the Pearl Street Mall to the Boulder Jewish Festival taking place on the Courthouse Lawn (the Festival starts at 11 am). There, the Run 4 Their Lives group will be part of a program on the Festival stage honoring the group and those injured in last week’s terror attack.
As always, this walk is not a protest; it is a peaceful walk to show solidarity with the hostages and their families, and a plea for their release.
Sunday, June 8th marks the 611th day since 240 hostages were kidnapped from Israel and taken to Gaza. 58 of them still remain captive there, 23 who should be home with their mothers and families, and 35 who deserve a proper burial. Please – join us this Sunday at the Boulder Jewish Festival, to walk for all those still held hostage, and to honor those injured last Sunday. The world cannot forget. Please bring posters and wear red.
The local Boulder chapter of Run For Their Lives (part of the larger Bring Them Home Now initiative) has been walking in downtown Boulder every week since Thanksgiving, 2023. That’s 81 weeks. There are multiple groups like ours meeting internationally and across US cities (including a local Denver chapter).
There are 231+ active Run For Their Lives groups across the world. Wherever you are, whether visiting friends or family or vacationing, you can join a group and walk with them, or walk on your own and post a video in the main Run For Their Lives Facebook group, in our local FB group, or on your own feeds. The initiative’s goal is to get as much press coverage as possible for the hostages through publicizing these walks.
