Community Celebrates Israel at 70 at Boulder JCC

On Wednesday evening, April 18th, over 400 people came together to celebrate Yom Ha’atzmaut at the Boulder JCC. A truly community event, this celebration brought together many volunteers and organizations for a fun and educational evening. To honor Israel’s 70th anniversary, the evening showcased activities for all ages including presentations on “Stories of Lone Soldiers,” “From Hora to Hip Hop:  70 Years of Israeli Music,” and “Heroism, Peace, and Beauty Queen:  Israel in the 70s.” For the children, there was a bouncy castle, face painting, Israeli games, and a juggling workshop. The program ended with an inspiring presentation from Stacy Warden on “How Israeli Technology Changed My Family’s Life.”

Thank you to all of the sponsors, partners, organizations, and individuals who helped make Yom Ha’atzmaut such a success. This program was produced by BIET – Boulder Israel Engagement Team, a partnership between the Boulder JCC and JEWISHcolorado.
