Beth Ami School Receives Hazon Grant for Shabbat Series

You are invited to join the Beth Ami Community and Family School to explore the history, geography and world traditions surrounding Shabbat. At each of our three sessions we offer a hands-on, experience-rich learning opportunity for all ages, pre-school through adult. Bring home ideas and inspiration for your own rituals. Enjoy our joyful Sustainable Shabbat Celebration!

Our first session is this Sunday, January 10th 10:00 am-12:00 pm at the Boulder JCC. Take a journey through time and around the world to explore Shabbat traditions and foods.

Our second session will be Sunday, February 7th at the Boulder JCC from 10:00 am-12:00 pm. Receive Shabbat meal resources on sustainability and Jewish farming practices.

Our third session will celebrate Shabbat on February 27th using our Humanistic Jewish Shabbat ceremony. How do Humanistic Jews meaningfully honor ancient customs?

Humanistic Judaism offers cultural and secular Jews a non-theistic alternative in contemporary Jewish life. Humanistic Jews affirm human beings possess the power and responsibility to shape their own lives independent of supernatural authority.
