For the past several decades, Jewish National Fund (JNF) has worked to alleviate and mitigate Israel’s chronic water shortage through a range of water collection and conservation initiatives.

“We are trying to determine how to use water as effectively as possible, to maximize its benefits to pedestrians, reduce energy consumption by our buildings, and ensure environmental sustainability.”

Former U.S. Secretary of Department of the Interior, Ken Salazar, will keynote at JNF's National Conference in Denver, Colorado on October 28, 2013, speaking on the topic, Water: The Lifeblood of Nations.

The world water crisis is examined in "FLOW," screening next week at the BJCC, with guest speaker Sam Schabacker of Food & Water Watch.
