Everyone needs help at some point in their lives. That is especially true for more individuals and families over the past 20 months since the pandemic began. Jewish Family Service (JFS) Boulder is here to serve you!

Join us as a volunteer at the many fun and fulfilling opportunities we have coming up for September and October.

You can enhance an aging adult’s life (and your own) by providing warmth and companionship, and sharing common interests, hobbies, outings, and conversation.

While it wasn’t safe for JFS to host Seders in senior facilities this year, we couldn’t pass over the opportunity to bring the holiday to isolated older adults in retirement communities or their homes.

Sue decided it would be meaningful to visit an older Jewish adult and reached out to Jewish Family Service earlier this year. She was matched with Seymour Gold, a 97-year-old WWII veteran living at Hover Senior Living Community in Longmont, and began visiting him in June.

From the moment she relocated to Boulder five years ago, Heidi and her family have participated in nearly all of JFS’s programs and events.

In the new year, are you looking for a meaningful way to spend an hour a week? Boulder Jewish Family Service (JFS) is seeking Friendly Visitors for older adults.

This complimentary cocktail reception is open to the public and will be held on Tuesday, July 26 at the new Boulder JCC.
