JEWISHcolorado Board Chair Rob Kaufmann and Interim President and CEO Renée Rockford were among 30 Federation leaders representing communities across the United States and Canada who took part in an extraordinary, 24-hour visit to Israel to express their concerns with Israeli leaders on the proposed judicial reforms and to convey the implications these changes will have on the North American Jewish community.

In a first-of-its-kind mobilization, 20 major Jewish organizations announce the formation of the Jewish Climate Leadership Coalition, which will bring together Jewish community leaders and organizations who recognize the existential threat and moral urgency of climate change and commit to taking action.

The Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Eric D. Fingerhut, currently the president and chief executive officer (CEO) of Hillel International, as JFNA’s next president and CEO.

JEWISHcolorado is helping to organize this Shabbat as National Solidarity Shabbat, a time to convene in your local synagogue to mourn the victims in Pittsburgh as well as to demonstrate that our Jewish communities will not be intimidated.

Representatives of the member organizations of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations and other local and national Jewish leaders gathered together to discuss the aftermath of the attack on the synagogue in Pittsburgh, the state of anti-Semitism in the United States, and steps to enhance the protection of American Jewish communities and institutions.

The recent General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church made some inroads towards reconciliation and away from delegitimization, but still fostered a hostile environment for those seeking peace for both Israelis and Palestinians.
