In anticipation of a massive wave of Aliyah from Ukraine, The Jewish Agency for Israel has launched its ‘Aliyah Express’ program, which will expedite the immigration process resulting in thousands of Ukrainian olim arriving in Israel per week.

On August 10, twin sisters Pearl and Heidi “Tamar” Clayman from Colorado decided to take the plunge and turn Israel from a favorite vacation destination to home sweet home.

For the first time in nearly seven years, five twenty-something women from the ancient Chinese Jewish community of Kaifeng arrived in Israel to fulfill their dreams of making Aliyah.

The final charter Aliyah flight for 2009 - organized by Nefesh B’Nefesh and the Jewish Agency, in cooperation with Israel’s Ministry of Immigrant Absorption – departed Tuesday from JFK airport, carrying 210 new immigrants to Israel from the USA and Canada.
