In a tradition that gains traction and attendees each year, the Boulder County Center for Judaism is bringing the largest menorah in Boulder County to Lafayette again this year.

An important part of every year’s Chanukah celebration is the honor of lighting the menorah. This year’s Lamplighters are Rhonda and Bruce Wildman, long-time residents who have worked tirelessly on behalf of the Boulder Jewish community.

Come by anytime between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm Tuesday thru Thursday to purchase all the things you need to be ready for a warm and light-filled Hanukkah.

Friday evening, December 27th is Boulder County Center for Judaism’s annual “Friday Night Chanukah Dinner,” a community Shabbat dinner open to the entire Jewish community.  

Starting on Thursday, December 12th at 9:00 am through Thursday, December 19th until 9:00 pm, Congregation Har HaShem is hosting their second annual Chanukah Online Auction.

The JCC Denver is collaborating with High Point Creamery to create an exclusive Chanukah ice cream flavor called “Bob’s Babka” named after Robert “Bob” E. Loup who is the namesake of the JCC Denver building and was a major donor to the organization. Come celebrate the season at the JCC Denver.

This year, the Boulder County Center for Judaism has selected former concierge and marketing director for the Boulder Jewish Community Center, Michael Rosensweig, as the Lafayette Lamplighter to kindle the Giant Menorah on the last night of Chanukah.

‘Don’t let the lights….see your wallet.’ In the prayer recited after lighting, there is a phrase: ‘these candles are holy and we have no permission to use them.’
