JEWISHcolorado Board Chair Rob Kaufmann and Interim President and CEO Renée Rockford were among 30 Federation leaders representing communities across the United States and Canada who took part in an extraordinary, 24-hour visit to Israel to express their concerns with Israeli leaders on the proposed judicial reforms and to convey the implications these changes will have on the North American Jewish community.

For fifty years, Israel Study Tour (IST) has helped young Jewish Coloradans broaden their knowledge about Israel, its neighbors, and Jewish heritage and history. Registration for IST 2023 (June 11th-July 16th) is open!

This week, Denver’s Hirsch Neustein, Marisa Porter, and Whitney Wolz are representing JEWISHcolorado alongside 100 Jewish leaders and philanthropists for the first major North American young leadership mission to Israel since the pandemic, dubbed “New Mission for a New Generation.” 

In response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, JEWISHcolorado has joined the Jewish Federations of North America’s (JFNA) $16 million emergency campaign to provide humanitarian assistance to vulnerable Jewish populations living in Ukraine.

The bill establishes a state-level grant program designed to enable houses of worship of any denomination, community gathering spaces, and all nonprofit organizations to complete capital projects that will serve to protect those using their facilities.

Before the flames were doused, the state, national, and international community responded with an outpouring of support to help fire victims in Boulder.

More than 500 volunteers are registered for the 26th annual JEWISHcolorado Christmas Mitzvah Project, designed to support community organizations and agencies, enabling staff and regular volunteers to spend time with their family and friends for the Christmas holiday.

JEWISHcolorado is awarding grants to more than 30 Jewish nonprofits and schools as part of the organization’s annual Projects of Impact & Need (PIN) grants program.

JEWISHcolorado, in partnership with the Jewish Agency for Israel, is launching an innovative year-long Jewish experience specifically for grandparents and their grandchildren, aged 10-11. It is called G2, and it is designed to explore meaningful connections, family narratives, and legacies around Jewish experiences.

- JEWISHcolorado strongly condemns the vandalism and hate speech targeting a Denver Public High School, and the organization is working through its Regional Security Initiative and its Jewish Student Connection to support the school and its students.

Registration is already half full for the Summer 2022 Joyce Zeff Israel Study Tour (IST).  IST is a program of JEWISHcolorado and, has been taking Colorado teens to Israel since 1971.

JEWISHcolorado is set to welcome four young Israelis on August 13 -- recent high school graduates who have an opportunity to delay mandatory service in the Israel Defense Forces and serve Diaspora communities around the world.
