Wayne Lloyd Dicksteen died on Sunday, January 4th, following a brain-stem stroke on January 1st at his home in North Boulder.

Tradition with a Twist is a seven-foot menorah by Yitzchok Moully, blending art and spirituality, debuting at the Boulder Menorah Lighting on December 15th, celebrating Jewish resilience.

According to Chany Scheiner, co-founder of the Boulder Center for Judaism, they chose Barbara Steinmetz for a number of reasons, but the most important is that, according to Chany, "she is always such a light against the darkness.”

“The Grand Opening Celebration was uplifting, beautiful, full of goodness, teaching in every way, caring, community. The space itself is so full of light, airy, inspiring. I understand now [Rabbi and Chany’s] excitement. It has become mine, too.”

This year’s Louisville Lamplighters are Adam and Dani Sloat, who returned after living out-of-state for many years and jumped right into giving their time and enthusiasm to the Louisville Jewish community.
