Seventeen-time Grammy nominee and acclaimed jazz pianist Fred Hersch will headline the closing night of the Denver Jazz Fest on April 12 at 7 p.m. at the Mizel Arts and Culture Center’s Elaine Wolf Theatre in Denver.
Widely revered as one of jazz’s most important voices, Hersch has been hailed as “a living legend” and is one of the most innovative pianists of his generation. His artistry is defined by lyrical intensity, rich harmonic language and profound emotional depth — qualities heard not only in his playing but also in his striking compositions. The acclaimed trio features Fred Hersch on piano, Drew Gress on bass, and Johnathan Blake on drums.
