Shabbat Shalom! We are honored to partner with Boulder JCC to welcome renowned Israeli photojournalist Erez Kaganovitz, the visionary behind Humans of Israel, to Boulder for an incredible evening. He will take us on a journey through the personal stories behind his striking images, lead an interactive discussion, and explore the vibrancy of Israeli society, the energy of Tel Aviv, and the incredible resilience of the Israeli people in the wake of October 7th.

This is not just a lecture—it’s an opportunity to connect, share, and engage in an open discussion that brings the Israeli experience to life.

Engage in conversation over a festive dinner, where we’ll share a delicious meal, reflect together, and celebrate the hope, strength, and unity that define Israel today. Don’t miss this chance to witness, learn, and celebrate the human stories that shape Israel.

Visit boulderjcc.org/humans for information and registration.

With hostilities ramping back up in Gaza, it is imperative that we continue to support the remaining hostages until they are all home. This will be the 75th consecutive weekly walk in support of the hostages this Sunday, April 27. Meet at Pearl and 8th Sunday at 1 pm.

Here is Morah Yehudis‘ take on this week’s Torah Portion.

Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with our brothers and sisters under attack in Israel, Ukraine, and the women of this country. Am Yisrael Chai!

About Editor

I'm David Fellows, and I've served as a writer, photographer and/or an editor on my junior high and high school newspapers; the Daily Trojan at USC (where I earned my journalism degree); the student newspaper at the Anderson School at UCLA (where I earned my MBA); and I've written and edited countless business documents and presentations in the ensuing twenty years. I was also a professional photographer from 1978 to 1988 (although you never really stop...). I've been involved Jewishly since my bris and in Boulder since 1995. I'm married to my Executive Director Cheryl, and we have two children, Lauren and Ethan.
