Letter: This is What See No Evil, Hear No Evil Gets You…

Dear editor:

The ugly float pictured below appeared in a 2019 Belgian parade. This is but one of many incidents that presaged the Jew hunts now occurring across Europe.

The required official statements are made, but this accomplishes nothing, because growing Muslim populations have increasing political power.

Muslim violence also confers great political power. The Charlie Hebdo and Bataclan massacres created such fear that politicians now tread very lightly where Muslims are concerned. The beheadings of Lee Rigby and Samuel Paty underlined the need to self-censor.

In 2021, 1,000 French servicemen and women, including 20 retired generals, signed a letter warning that they saw Islamists taking over whole parts of their nation’s territory. Their conclusion: “The hour is grave, France is in peril.”

Europe and its Jews are in grave peril, and no one dares take any strong action to reverse a long-standing and frightening trend.
