
Yair Erez, husband of Paula Erez and father of Amir and Galit, passed away peacefully this afternoon, February 20, 2024, at home with his loved ones by his side, after a six-year struggle with cancer. He was 79 years old.
Yair (Ephraim ben Shaul v’Salima) was born in Baghdad in 1944, the second youngest of ten siblings. In 1951 the family moved to Israel when he was 6 years old. Yair and Paula met in Israel in 1975 and they were married in Miami two years later and moved to Colorado in 1978.
They have been members of Bonai Shalom since the very beginning.
There will be a service at Bonai Shalom on Thursday (22nd) at 9.30am, followed by a burial at Mountain View Cemetery, 3016 Kalmia Ave, Boulder, CO 80301 at 11am
Shiva will commence after burial at their home 4733 Quail Creek Lane, 80301 for visitation, with a minyan at 6.30pm
Strength and comfort to Paula, Amir (Rachel) and Galit (Josh) and to all of Yair’s extended family in Israel.
