New Chai Life Group for Single Older Adults

Boulder’s Jewish community has grown in the last bunch of years with lots of programming and opportunities to match, but one segment of our population was being underserved…single older adults. Working with members of the Jewish community, we’ve developed a community collaboration to try to meet that need!

Boulder’s Chai Life Group is for single older adults (70+) who are looking for cultural programs and opportunities to meet and socialize with others. It is a community collaboration of Congregation Har HaShem, Congregation Bonai Shalom, Congregation Nevei Kodesh, the Boulder JCC, Boulder JFS, and Kavod on the Road, the outreach arm of Kavod Senior Life in Denver.

We’ll be hosting monthly get-togethers at different locations around Boulder. Our first event is coming up!

What do you mean that the miracle of the oil lasting for eight days isn’t part of the original Chanukah story? You have some explaining to do! So… let’s talk about it. Meet Rabbi Fred Greene to discuss, question, and interpret how Chanukah can inspire us in the 21st century. Refreshments provided. Free.
