New Monthly Program in Honor of the Year of Hakhel

New Monthly Program in Honor of the Year of Hakhel

In the Torah there was a special Mitzvah in the year following the Sabbatical year of all men, women and children and even babies to gather in the temple and to hear the King read from the Torah to them. The Lubavitcher Rebbe urged people in this year to gather together as much as possible to study Torah.  Boulder Center for Judaism will host a monthly luncheon at the beginning of each Hebrew month and Rabbi Scheiner will give a small talk about the uniqueness of the new Hebrew month.  The first luncheon will be this Sunday, Nov. 6, 12-1 pm.  There is no charge for this program but rsvp is necessary. RSVP: boulderjudaism@gmail.com

About Chany Scheiner

Co - Director of Boulder Center for Judaism. Any successful organization needs a heart and that is what Chany provides, along with organization, marketing, innovative programming, and countless Shabbat dinners. Some of her accomplishments are large and public like the annual menorah lighting on Pearl Street and the matzo and shofar factories, while others are quiet and private like the time she spends counseling individuals and sharing the wisdom that comes from study.
