Join Beth Ami Congregation for Purim Shabbat

Friday, March 11, 6:00-7:30 pm – online, via Zoom

Why do we celebrate the myth of Queen Esther and her male cohorts? Find out when you join us for an easy and welcoming Shabbat, followed by a little Purim merriment and a dive into casting lots, three-cornered hats, murder, and adultery.  All of the details are in the Purim Megillah.  Decide for yourself who comes out on top and how we might find meaning in this holiday in our own lives.

If you’d like a little more background on Purim, here’s a brief description: https://shj.org/living-humanistic-judaism/celebrate-holidays/purim/

Hamentaschen

Relax with a glass of wine, light two candles, take a bite of challah (or a hamantasch, of course), and have a Humanistic Jewish schmooze with Beth Ami – Colorado Congregation for Humanistic Judaism.

Hop into our Zoom and join in the conversation. Costumes are optional, but they make for so much more fun!

The event link will be sent when you click the “Attend online” button on the Meetup event page.

Beth Ami is a welcoming community where we connect to Jewish past, celebrate Jewish present and link to Jewish future through a humanistic philosophy.

Let’s do Jewish together – Humanistically!
