Do a Mitzvah! Upcoming Volunteer Opportunities at the Boulder JCC

Join us as a volunteer at the many fun and fulfilling opportunities we have coming up for September and October.

We are looking for volunteers for the Boulder JCC’s 5-year Anniversary Celebration on Thursday, September 23 from 4 – 8 pm. This fully outdoor event will be held at the Boulder JCC campus at 6007 Oreg Avenue.

We are so excited to celebrate the five-year anniversary of our grand opening at the Oreg Avenue location. We will be taking over the campus with local food and drink vendors, lawn games, farm tours, live music, and so much more! It is going to be a memorable event and we would love you to join us as a volunteer.

Check-in and greeter positions are available and we’ve kept the shifts short so volunteers will also have the chance to enjoy the event as a guest as well. The shift times are from 3:30 – 5:30 pm, 5 – 6:30 pm, and 6 – 7:45 pm

If you would like to volunteer for the celebration, please complete this form and write in which position and shift time you’re interested in or email Nancy.Lipsey@Boulderjcc.org with any questions. For more information and to register for the celebration, please click here.

On Sunday, October 3, from 9 am – 1 pm, the Boulder JCC will proudly host the 9Health:365 Fair. It will be an express fair offering low-cost blood-work, RA (Rheumatoid Arthritis) screening, and blood pressure only.

The 9Health:365 Fair wouldn’t be possible without the help of volunteers! We need both medical (skilled phlebotomists are greatly desired) and non-medical volunteers to run centrifuges, manage participant and volunteer check-in, and serve as greeters.

If you are interested in volunteering, please click here. Participant registration is currently open here. All participants must be pre-registered and we won’t be accepting walk-ins.  Please email Shari at shari@boulderjcc.org with any questions.

We still need volunteers for our Milk and Honey Farm on Mondays and Thursdays from 8 – 11 am. You’ll have the opportunity to dig, weed, harvest, and even pet the goats during breaks! For more information and to register, please click here

Please also join us in support of the High Holidays Food Drive, which is happening now through September 30, benefiting Community Food Share’s ongoing fight against hunger in Boulder and Broomfield Counties. Many Jewish organizations and congregations in our community will be collecting non-perishable food at High Holiday Services. The Boulder JCC will be collecting at our 5-Year Celebration on September 23 from 4 pm-8 pm.

The Boulder JCC is also offering a virtual option to make a food donation at https://communityfoodshare.fenly.org/drive/boulder-jcc-virtual-food-drive/

All of the in-person programs will be held in-person at the Boulder JCC following the most current Health and Safety Protocols. Please familiarize yourself with these protocols prior to the program.
