Aldan Solovy to Discuss Prayer as Spiritual Resistance

How can prayer be interpreted and used as a tool for spiritual resistance? Using Siddur and his book, “This Grateful Heart,” Aldan Solovy will explore five ways to engage in prayer as spiritual resistance: healing the soul, bridging divides, tikun olam, political opposition and political defiance. Alden Solovy spreads joy and excitement for prayer. A poet and liturgist, his work has been used by people of all faiths throughout the world. He’s written more than 600 pieces of new liturgy, offering a fresh new Jewish voice, challenging the boundaries between poetry, meditation, personal growth and prayer. This event will be held at Bonai Shalom on April 5th from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm and is free and open to the community. RSVP here, please.
