On Thursday, April 30 at 7:00 p.m., the Mizel Arts and Culture Center will host The Tight Five: Standup Comedy Showcase, headlined by Denver native and acclaimed comedian Noah Gardenswartz.
The evening will begin with emerging comedians performing their “tight five” — five minutes of original material developed during an eight-week comedy writing program — before Gardenswartz takes the stage. More than a typical comedy show, Tight 5 is part of the Mizel Arts and Culture Center’s broader commitment to nurturing local voices and creating accessible cultural experiences through comedy. The program pairs education with performance, giving aspiring comics the opportunity to develop their craft and share the stage with established talent.
Adding to the story, Gardenswartz, who was a writer for The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and has appeared on Comedy Central and late-night television, is returning to his hometown for the showcase, making it a full-circle moment for the Denver-raised comedian.
