Baruch Dayan HaEmet – Marian Safran z”l

Marian Safran (Malka Tzipporah bat Rachel VeMelech) passed away on Shabbat morning, January 31, 2026, following a bad flu, just 9 days after her husband Bill. Marian was 87 years old and has struggled with dementia for several years and was not able to attend Bill’s funeral. They would have been married for 65 years this March. This double loss is so hard for the family, but our prayer is that they are united again.

The family are returning to Colorado having just finished shiva for Bill and the memorial service and funeral will be on Tuesday morning in Boulder.

Tuesday, February 3rd
9.30am – memorial service at Bonai Shalom in person and livestreamed on YouTube
11:00am – burial at Green Mountain Cemetery
The family will sit shiva in Boulder on Tuesday and return to California on Wednesday to be with their community for the rest of shiva.
