Walk for the Hostages Sunday on Day 674

The propaganda videos released this week of Evyatar David and Rom Braslavski leave no room for anyone to doubt the cruelty with which Hamas is treating the remaining 50 hostages, 30 of whom they’ve already murdered.

While the press (and the Red Cross!) seem incapable of giving the hostages the attention and care they need, it falls upon all of us to do whatever we possibly can — to refuse to turn away, to push everyone we know to share about their plight, to say their names.

We have not forgotten 10/7. We have not forgotten the hostages. We won’t stop calling for their release.

May the hostages held in Gaza be swiftly returned to their homes and families.

As always, this walk is not a protest; it is a peaceful walk to show solidarity with the hostages and their families, and a plea for their release.

Sunday, August 10th marks the 674th day since 240 hostages were kidnapped from Israel and taken to Gaza. 50 of them still remain captive there, 20 who should be home with their mothers and families, and 30 who deserve a proper burial. Please – join us this Sunday to walk for all those still held hostage, and to honor those murdered and injured in Boulder on June 1. The world cannot forget. Please bring posters and wear red.

The local Boulder chapter of Run For Their Lives (part of the larger Bring Them Home Now initiative) has been walking in downtown Boulder every week since Thanksgiving, 2023. That’s 90 weeks. There are 231+ groups like ours meeting internationally and across US cities (including a local Denver chapter).

Wherever you are, whether visiting friends or family or vacationing, you can join a group and walk with them, or walk on your own and post a video in the main Run For Their Lives Facebook group, in our local FB group, or on your own feeds. The initiative’s goal is to get as much press coverage as possible for the hostages through publicizing these walks.
