Solidarity Walk: Bring Them Home Now, Before Day 639

We continue to be grateful for everyone who joins us each week in walking in solidarity with the hostages still held captive in Gaza, and in support of a community still in deep grief over the violent and shocking act of antisemitism on June 1 that has caused unbearable pain for so many.

May there be days ahead where we gather for very different reasons. May all the hostages be swiftly returned to their homes and families.

As always, this walk is not a protest; it is a peaceful walk to show solidarity with the hostages and their families, and a plea for their release.

Sunday, July 6th marks the 639nd day since 240 hostages were kidnapped from Israel and taken to Gaza. 50 of them still remain captive there, 20 who should be home with their mothers and families, and 30 who deserve a proper burial. Please – join us this Sunday to walk for all those still held hostage, and to honor those injured on June 1. The world cannot forget. Please bring posters and wear red.

The local Boulder chapter of Run For Their Lives (part of the larger Bring Them Home Now initiative) has been walking in downtown Boulder every week since Thanksgiving, 2023. That’s 85 weeks. There are 231+ groups like ours meeting internationally and across US cities (including a local Denver chapter).

Wherever you are, whether visiting friends or family or vacationing, you can join a group and walk with them, or walk on your own and post a video in the main Run For Their Lives Facebook group, in our local FB group, or on your own feeds. The initiative’s goal is to get as much press coverage as possible for the hostages through publicizing these walks.
